2 cups Ground rice
1/4 cup of over cooked rice
1 cup Greek yoghurt
1 cup of warm water
1 teaspoon of yeast
Oil for frying

Strawberry sauce

500grams of fresh or frozen strawberries
1/2 cup of sugar
Zest from a medium sized lemon
1 tablespoon of lemon juice

For the Waina Waffle:
Pour the ground rice in a bowl
Mix the yeast in the warm water leave for 3 minutes to rise. Mix it in the Greek yoghurt and pour into the ground rice. Mix till smooth, then add the over cooked rice. Cover with a plastic bag and a tea towel and keep in a dark place to rise for 60 minutes.

While the yeast is doing its work, make the strawberry sauce.
In a saucepan throw in your fresh strawberries, sugar, lemon zest and lemon juice, allow to boil over medium heat. When the syrup is clear, use a masher to mash the strawberries and boil again.  Allow to cool.

Check on your Waina mix, and prepare your waffle maker. Use a brush to rub the oil in the waffle maker, then pour the mix, allow to cook and serve.

Pour strawberries over and some cream and enjoy.
